Recently, I was fortunate enough to style a photo shoot with the extremely talented photographer, Joe Polimeni. Joe had been dreaming of our location for several decades, so it was an honor to get to help bring his vision to life (along with an incredibly fun and professional team of experts). Shot at a decrepit, yet hauntingly beautiful, estate greenhouse, both the day and end photos were magical.
For the styling, I knew I wanted the looks to have a vintage feel, so I borrowed looks from two of my favorite vintage and vintage-inspired Detroit shops - Eldorado General Store and The Peacock Room.
I love styling individual women - it’s incredibly fulfilling knowing that after a few hours together, I am adding ease and confidence to the everyday process of getting dressed. But styling a photo shoot is a completely different beast. The focus is about telling a story. About bringing a vision to life in a small series of photographs.
I think we succeeded in telling Joe's story.
Check out the final photos from the day below and let me know what you think!
